Rajith Jayawardana
Principal Architect
Architect Rajith Jayawardana has a diverse portfolio of projects that reflect his commitment to innovative design and sustainable practices. With a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) and a Master of Urban Design from the University of Moratuwa, he has cultivated a robust understanding of architecture and urbanism.
His experience includes collaboration with both local and international industry experts, enhancing his ability to deliver practical solutions tailored to each project's unique context. He has participated in numerous workshops globally, further enriching his knowledge and design approach.
As an Associate Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and a Green SL Associate Professional with the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka, he emphasizes environmentally responsible design. His leadership roles, including serving as a Member of the Council for the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and Chairman of the Young Architects Forum, showcase his dedication to advancing the architectural profession.
Having served as the Head of Architecture and Urban Design at Surath Wickramasinghe Associates—one of the most experienced firms in Sri Lanka—he brings a wealth of expertise to his projects. His deep understanding of building regulations, combined with a passion for integrating nature and culture into his designs, ensures that his work is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally sound and contextually relevant.
